Vroom-vroom Pow! ~ Boracay Land Tour

Let's reserve the water activities for later, land tour muna tayo mga teh! :)

We did this during afternoon of our second day, dahil nag-water activities kami noong morning. Mabuti na lang at may nakilala kaming local agent doon na nag-alok sa amin ng mas murang tour activities like island hopping and ATV and Kart rental for land tour. As of January 2011, ito ang rental rates na inoffer sa amin ng local agent:
  • ATV - Php 300 (Usual price range is Php 200 - 400, pero sa panahon ngayon imposible na ang Php 200...)
  • Kart - Php 500

If much, much higher than that, you have been ripped off! >:)

How courteous of them. Hindi ka nila hahayaang mag-rent without undergoing a briefing. 'Yung briefing ay tungkol sa tour route and safety. Before you can actually start the tour proper, may race track sa labas na dapat mong ikutin. It's like a prerequisite na kapag sumablay ka at this point, you'll not be allowed to continue the land tour. For safety, siyempre.
Tour briefing c/o manong guide
By the way, pumasa si Teh sa field exam na nabanggit. Yey!.. ^_^

So as a summary, you can do land tour sa west and water activities sa east (if my navigation instinct is right). During the land tour, huminto kami sa dalawang points of interest. One is at Everland Aviary Farm, and the other is at the Tanawin Luxury Apartment Viewing Deck.

~ Everland Aviary Farm ~
Entrance Fee: Php 50 (as of 2011, may have changed without notice)

First attraction: landscapes and plants. They are of average level of interest for Teh kaya sakto lang ang pagpansin ko sa mga plants. Nevertheless, maganda ang pagkaka-landscape ng mga plants. :)
Flower o halaman?... Secret! :))
The Nopalea Cochenillifera. K.

Second attraction: ang malaking Bat and friends... BOW! :) Pero animal cruelty, I kinda feel sorry for the bat na pinaglalaruan siya ng mga tao ng ganyan. :(
Teh and the Bat. :(
The butterflies framed like badges of honor.
Iguana: >tuckoo<
Teh: Cuckoo?

The sad Tagpi... :(
The main attraction: Birds! I'm not really sure if these are recycled, but if yes, great job! :)
Peeeaacock!

No name...

African love birds... Yikee... :)

Zebra Finch

Sun Conure/Parakeet. Teh's favorite bird. :)

Australian Budge... what?

♫Ring neck turtle dove...♫
And a partridge in a pear treeeee~~~♫

Java Finch

Cockatiel? Cockatoo?

Diamond Doves na gray.

Ito ay... ah, basta ibon yan! X_X

~ Tanawin Luxury Apartment Visit ~
Entrance Fee: Php 60 (as of 2011, may have changed without notice)

As mentioned by our guides, ang pinakamataas na lugar sa Bora ay ang Tanawin Luxury Apartment Viewing Deck. This is definitely the best point in overlooking the whole island. Sakto ang pangalan nitong "Tanawin" dahil tanaw mo ang buong Boracay.
Tanawin's Pool.
View of the North: the green, green grass of Bora.

Views on the West: Carabao Island and the Sunset
Wo-oh almost sunset... (But too early...)
Views on the East: Caticlan, Crocodile Island and Crystal Cove (but where?)
The view of the East.
Considered the rear portion of the island, might be unexplored for many...
Since on the opposite side are the infamous Stations.
And so, the land tour ends here...
Teh alighting from her not-so-big bike... :(
Habang mataas-taas pa ang araw, we must hurry down the beach for the sunset! Let's hit the beach! ...sa susunod na adventures ni Teh! :)
