The Hungry Teh Eats @ West Side

The largest mall in Asia up to date, just few rides away from my nook... SM Mall of Asia!
View from SMX bridge, Manila Bay side
Well, nothing much special about this place. Just another shopping mall in the metro. But what attracts me para magpabalik-balik dito, kahit pa 1 hour ang layo nito sa bahay, ay ang mga stalls ng masasarap na slightly high-end street foods na dito ko lang napupuntahan. Though may mga branches 'yung ibang food stalls dito, I can say that MOA is the most accessible for me. :)

Mehhhhh gano'n?!)

~Food stop # 1: Musashi Takoyaki~

Personal rating: ✰✰✰✰✰

I have to say, sa mga modern-time takoyaki sellers, they sell the best-tasting takoyaki. Secret ingredient? Probably in the sauces. I say modern-time, because my all-time takoyaki favorite will be the one being sold by Samurai Foods Inc. (branches I've seen are in Megamall and North Edsa). :)

Pero ano nga ba ang takoyaki? Literally, it pertains to a "grilled octopus".It is a common Japanese street food shaped into a ball and it is made out of pancake batter, filled with octopus and vegetables. Aside from takoyaki, meron din silang tinitindang yakisoba (stir-fried noodles). Itadakimasu[1]! ^_^

~Food stop # 2: iSpice~

Personal rating: ✰✰✰✰

:D Sa food stall na ito, aside from nachos, may mga hotdogs, corndogs and other typical American snacks silang tinitinda. Nom nom nom... BURRRRRRRRRPPPPP!!! (S'cuse me... ='>)

~Food stop # 3: Mac's Deli Vigan Empanada and Okoy~

Personal rating: ✰✰✰

Reminds me of my province, Ilocos Sur. VIGAN EMPANADA! ^_^
Empanada stall signboard. (Pati 'eto kina-caption?!)
Masarap din ang timpla nila, on par with those na binebenta sa tabi ng Plaza Burgos in Vigan. :) However one annoying incident happened (at hindi ko ikukuwento dahil baka isipin niyong hater much ako)...

Anyway, just like in Vigan, live show din ang pagluluto ng Vigan Empanada, made from the ready made batter and vegetable mix. Just wait for few minutes, ready to eat na!
Made to order empanada, freshly cooked after you order :)

Hopefully more food trips to be featured in the future. Abangan! :)

~ Vocabulary ni Teh ~
[1] Itadakimasu - Japanese expression which conveys the blessing of the food.
