Alta Vista Beybeh

Salamat sa isang sponsor ni Teh, ang bossing ni nanay at ni ninang, nagkaroon kami ng libreng tulugan sa Bora. Once in a lifetime lang ito, dahil medyo high-end ang hotel na ito. Kung sariling expense ko lang kasi, I'd rather book a budget hotel somewhere in Station 2. Well, actually isa siyang condotel so kung may opening or offered units, you may pre-own a unit or two (or many kung super rich kid ka).

Located at Barangay Yapak, aabutin ng around 20 to 30 minutes from Boracay Port going to Alta Vista de Boracay. For convenience, puwede ninyong tawagan or send-dan ng e-mail ang reception (using your own phone or PC) at sabihin in advance kung magpapasundo kayo from Caticlan Airport, then from Boracay Port. Some charges may apply, depende sa hotel package that you availed.

~ The Arrival ~

Sa totoo lang, noong bata pa ako, wala akong kahilig-hilig mag-travel dahil paranoid ako na baka maaksidente ako along the way. Medyo late bloomer ako sa travelling, siguro mga high school ako nag-start maging appreciative sa travelling, though lagi ko lang napupuntahan that time ay Ilocos at Cagayan Valley. Isa ang Boracay sa mga nagmulat sa akin na marami pa akong dapat makita within the Philippines.

Well, kaya lang naman ako nakapunta rito dahil nautusan ang nanay upang mag-check ng mga bagay-bagay sa loob ng unit ng bossing nila ni ninang. Epal lang ako hehe.

Sa loob ng Alta Vista, bawat building ay mayroong pangalan. At siyempre, dahil mas hooked si Teh sa adventures kaysa tignan isa-isa ang mga pangalan ng building, tanging ang building lang ng aming tinuluyan ang naalala ko.

After the welcome drinks (masarap siya and free by the way), hinatid kami ng internal shuttle from the reception lobby to the unit kung saan kami mag-i-stay.

"Tuloy po kayo!" Iyan ang bati sa amin ng naghatid ng aming mga baggages sa unit. Katulad ng typical na apartment or condo unit, ang bawat unit ng Alta Vista ay mayroong basic parts ng bahay. Ang tanging bagay na hindi ko nakita rito ay ang stove. So ibig sabihin, kung magluluto ka man ng sarili mong pagkain, microwave lamang ang iyong katuwang. And this is more than enough since, one, nasa bakasyon ka, and two, commonly used siya, especially ng mga foreigners dahil mabilisan ang pagluluto and less ang hassle sa pagpe-prepare.

So ganito ang hitsura ng Loft suite. May kitchen area, ref, dining table, sala, veranda, and 2nd floor. Definitely sa 2nd floor makikita ang mga bedrooms. May dalawang bedroom sa itaas, isang with twin share bed and the other with two single beds. Both floors have bathrooms with hot and cold shower.

~ Out of the box ~

Saglit lang din kaming nakapag-explore ng mga amenities ng Alta Vista since 3 Days, 2 Nights lang ang stay namin sa Boracay. The first thing we did upon arrival, after the welcome drinks, was to eat lunch. Sobrang gutom kami pagdating kasi ilang oras na ang nakalipas mula noong nagbreakfast kami. 9AM kasi ang flight namin to Caticlan so around 11AM kami nakarating sa Alta Vista. By the way, the Pancit Luglug here is awesome with calamansi! Serves from 2 to 3 pax. :)

Anyways, here are some of the things which you can see outside your unit. :)

If you haven't gotten enough of the sea, why not stay on the pool? Isa sa mga hangout area that became my favorite - the refreshing miming pool! >sniff< Sobrang lamig nga lang dito dahil sa lakas ng hangin... >_<

Malay ko sa'yo ~ Boracay Escape Intro

Noong nagpunta ako sa Boracay, it's been more or less 2 years mula noong huli kong makita ang NAIA 3 so this time I took the opportunity to capture a glimpse of it. Obviously, this is my favorite airport dahil ito lang ang may K lumaban ng pagandahan sa mga karatig-bansa natin in terms of airport facilities. Sana gumanda pa ang NAIA 3 para ma-kabog na nito ang unkabogable Chang-I Airport ng Singapore, which is one of the most beautiful airports in the world...

NAIA 3. So clean, so good! (Puwede ka nang manalamin sa sahig hehehe...)

Escape talaga ang Boracay adventures ko mga teh dahil noong nagtungo ako sa Bora (short for Boracay para sa mga tamad magsabi ng buong pangalan), nasa kalagitnaan ng paggawa ng tisis ang aking group. Na kahit nasa airplane na ako, nagpo-program pa din ako. X_X Pero ayos lang, dahil nalabanan ko ang inip sa biyahe nang mga panahong iyan. Hindi ko alam kung bakit, pero sadyang hirap akong makatulog sa mga short trips tulad nito. :O

Minahal ko ang tisis nang mga oras na ito. Dahil bored sa biyahe. :))

At kapag napapagod ako sa tisis, may mga clouds na nagpapawala ng aking stress... ^_^ (Epal nga lang 'yung elisi... X_X)

Special thanks sa upuan ni Teh for keeping me safe during the air trip. Promise, panalo ang Caticlan airport sa landing. Dahil around 0.8km lang ang length ng runway (thanks sa distance measure ng wikimapia), paglapag ng airplane, halos sagad sa pagpreno ang pilot. Typically kasi, nasa 2km or longer ang length ng runways. Imagine na lang kung hindi ka nagseatbelt. Baka nasubsob ka nang bongga sa upuang nasa harapan mo. So friendly reminder lang mga teh, 'wag matigas ulo, sa kahit anong air travel, magseatbelt before landing. :)

Welcome to Malay! Panahon na upang bumaba ng eroplano at salubungin ang sundo patungong Caticlan port. Kung sa Caticlan ang destination ng sinakyang eroplano, compared with Kalibo-bound flight, mas convenient ito dahil isang jetty boat ride lang na aabutin ng more or less 30 minutes from Caticlan Port, hola! Nasa Boracay ka na. Very safe naman dahil mandatory na suotin ang mga lifejackets while in transit.

Vigan Carrozas ~ The Black Parade

Heto na ang last installment of Teh's Holy Week Trilogy, featuring the Procession of Vigan Carrozas showing the events prior to and during Jesus' death. 

Ginaganap ito tuwing Good Friday, after ng Siete Palabras[1] sa Vigan Cathedral, around 5PM onwards (pero minsan 6PM nagsisimula). Ang prusisyon na ito ay nagsisimula sa simbahan at dadaan sa... hindi alam ni Teh. X_X Parating nasa gilid lang kasi ako at nanonood ng mga dumadaang carroza upang lahat sila ay makunan ko ng picture. Kapag sumama ako sa prusisyon, hindi ko sila makikitang lahat (malamang). Tulad ng mga ibang mga turista (at feeling turista like Teh), isa ito sa much-awaited event during Holy Week sa Vigan. As in hindi mahulugang-karayom ang dami ng taong ilang oras na nag-aabang para makita ang prusisyon.

Share ko lang ano, at dahil lahat naman ng nasa blog na ito ay sharing ni Teh. Tulad ng nabanggit, hindi ganoon kaganap ang pagiging relihiyoso ko, ngunit tuwing sasapit ang Mahal na Araw, masasabi kong fulfilling on my part kapag tumatayo ako ng mga isa hanggang dalawang oras upang abangan ang paradang ito. In a way, masasabi kong isa ito sa mga panata ko every Holy Week (except this year dahil I opted to work). Bukod kasi sa pagtayo ng halos 2 hours, pahirapan din ang pagsakay ng bus pauwi ng probinsya tuwing Mahal na Araw. Minsanang sakripisyo para kay Lord. :)

Hay, nagiging madaldal na naman ako. :(
